Dr. Muhammad Zahid is currently Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics at Muscat University (MU), Oman, with extensive experience in academia, research, and industry. Previously, he served as Professor and Dean of Management Sciences at Bahria Business School, Bahria University, and as Dean of Management Sciences at City University of Science and Information Technology, Pakistan. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Universiti Kelantan, Malaysia, along with MS in Management and Master of Commerce degrees from Pakistan. Before entering academia, he spent eight years in banking as a branch and customer services manager. His research focuses on corporate sustainability, sustainable supply chain management, ESG practices, and financial performance. He has published two books and numerous indexed papers, earning the Emerald Award for Excellence (2016) and the Best Paper Award at ISoRIS 2014. He also has experience in preparing regulatory and sustainability reports for business and academic institutions. He serves as an editor and reviewer for leading journals, supervises research students, and collaborates internationally on sustainability and impact-ranking projects.
